I have a Wii and will probably get a 360 by summer, which will eventually lead to an HDTV. I've heard that the Wii looks bad on some of the larger LCD or plasma screens, but I don't want to sacrifice HD graphics on the 360 for the Wii. Any suggestions on which screen size gives the best picture on both 360 and Wii?

i dont know if i would say a specific size, but one thing i would say is on a larger lcd hdtv, get the component cables

i have a 37" lcd hdtv, and was disappointed when i first plugged in the wii, then got the components and was alot happier with it.

the 360 looked awesome on it too

I have a question, I've heard that, when using Component cables with certain Plasma and LCD TVs, there's no effect. So, any idea which TVs actually give better quality with Component cables?

its not really the size that matters its the picture quality (only thing i can think of that would make it loose worse on a larger tv is aspect ratio). if you buy a old standard 40 inch tv its not gonna look any better than a 20 inch standard tv. if you got the money get a 1080p tv. i don't think any wii can go up to 1080p but some 360 games are godly in 1080. and plus, you u'll have a great TV for next next gen consoles =]

I just got Panasonic TH37PX60U 37" Plasma to go with my Wii and 360. Looks great I love it.

Get a good quality TV something by Sony or Toshiba if you can becasue I heard they use the best quality bulbs. I think Smasung and Panasonic are the net best TV's to lok for.

If your in the UK go to play.com there grey imports but I saved £550 on my TV even though it had a Euro 2 pin plug I had an adapter.

I'm tryignt o get a UK warrenty card for it but otherwise the TV is fine and I plaid by credit card so I get 2 ear warrenty from the credit card company so not to worried.

without them it looks worse than on a standard tv

with wii... its cool to have HD but realize wii isnt an HD system. If you are running a 360 or PS3 (dare i say it) you should buy a tv...

Best advice..

Go to your local audio video specialist and ask them! (audio is in there because no matter how kick ass your tv is... if you dont have a just as kick ass sound system then its all for naught)

The joes on this forum won't be anywhere near as much help as a local audio video specialist. Now push yourslef away from the computer (i know it hurts but u gotta do it) and go to the nearest "Man Mecca" (electronics store) n ask the specialist.

dont get xbox! no reason, wii can go online, with better games. If not support nintendo go with the paper wieght! its graphix are 10 times better then the 360. Plus guitar hero is comming to wii! YAY!

-i suggest a plasma (cuz thats what i would get)
