Hi, I'm very pleased finnaly Bethesda will announce a BIG Wii GAME this year!!

And it's a hardcore mature game, yeah I'm waiting long time for this!!

I hope would be a Fallout or a Oblivion game, yeah!!

My God, finnaly Bethesda listened the Wii hardcore owners!!

I have a link for him

Q: You product is more adult-orientated, so you must be watching a company like Sega who are trying mature titles like House of the Dead and Mad World on the Wii. Do you see a market for product like that on the Wii?

Sean Brennan: House of the Dead is great brand and the product is great too. I think it's difficult, I've got consoles at home but I wouldn't sit and play an 18-rated game with my family on the Wii. Is there space in the Wii market for that? I think there is, but again, it' all about finding out how big that is. Is it 5 per cent? If it's five per cent of the market and you can own that space it's worth doing because you can achieve volume. If you can't own it at five per cent, it's not worth doing, quite frankly. We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year, we've got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it's a format we're really looking at with the right approach. We're not going to establish a new range and call if 'My Girly Game Range' or whatever these other companies are doing, it's so me-too and boring.

Q: A number of publishers jumped on the Wii a little too early and didn't really know what to do with it, and now they trying to get back on it with an adult slant.

Sean Brennan: Yes, and it was a problem with the DS space as well, because as soon as you spot the bandwagon, it's already too late. People don't get that. There are still some people jumping on the bandwagon but it's not within our business philosophy.

Fair enough.

Fallout or Oblivion though? Lol.

So having blood and "Hardcore mature" makes the game big and good??

This is one of the reasons why PS3/360 fanboys hate the Wii. Hardcore game developers jumping on the Wii bandwagon.

great news, i just hope they come up with something new and original that we haven't seen before, i love fallout and TES, but i'd much rather play those on a PC instead of craptastic downgrades

Can you ever go without putting the words hardcore and blood in there?

And why are you still trying? If more then anything else, Fallout and Oblivion are great RPGs with a mix of FPS and Strategy elements incorporated with it.

From the quote it says it won't be hardcore(what ever your definition of that is). And Caliko why are you such a negative nancy? A Debbie Downer?

I'm really looking forward to this announcement. I hope Bethesda puts a lot of time into the title so it can even be half as good as Fallout 3 (assuming it's an RPG).

Can I really be the only one??

Cuz I play games to have FUN and all I hear on these forums are "hArdCor3" gamers yap about "Red Steel doesn't have blood so it's not a good game" or "I'll buy this only if it's rated M" or "the casuals are ruining gaming as we know it!!!" I also can't help but shake my head at those who play GTA to feel tough and turn down amazing platformers like Mario Galaxy because "teh too kiddy counsel".
Who's the Nancy? You decide.

P.S. Did anyone actually read the article? They're implying it's gonna be a "hardcore" bloodbath.
