Blue Light Only On When Playing Or @ Menu

I think I may have damaged a part of my Wii! (Sounds painful doesn't it!)

When in standby and a message comes through, the leds do not light up on the disc slot.

It is only when the console is "on" that the lights are on.

Many ppl including myself wanted this but I'm worried as it shouldn't be like this!

It most certainly should not.

From what I know, the blue slot should only light up when you have mail or an update.

My blue light only comes on when I turn it on.

It comes on for a split second and then goes >___>;

It comes on for a Sec when you turn it on and stays lit when you have a message.

If you get a Message when your on the Main Menu it will light up. If your on a game it will not

if you get a message when your wii is on standby and your wii connect24 standby connection is switched on it will stay blue until message is read
