[FONT=&]Big Blue Bubble announced today that it’s bringing the smash hit iOS game Burn the Rope to WiiWare in North America on Thursday July 28, with a European release date to be announced in due course. To date the game has been downloaded more than 5 million times by iPhone/iPod touch and iPad owners, and now Wii owners can get in on the pyromaniac action as well, with the game having been specially adapted to suit the Wii’s controls. Gameplay involves trying to burn as much rope as you can in each level, but with a fiendish catch: the fire will only burn upwards, so you must rotate the level to keep your flame from going out. As you make your way through the game you’ll come up against different bugs crawling along the rope, each with their own unique reactions to the flame. For example, the ant changes the flame’s colour to enable you to burn the corresponding coloured ropes, and the spider shoots out a web bridge that you can use to reach previously inaccessible parts of the level.
