Buying region free Wii in Japan

I'm planning a trip to Japan next month and currently live in UK.

Does anyone know general availability or best place to pick up a region free Wii in Japan? I'll be in Tokyo majority of the time.

Unfortunately I don't think such thing as a "region free" Wii actually exists, I could be wrong though. I was under the impression you would have to get your Wii modded to be region free.
