Can I connect my Wii to the net using my Notebook's built-in WiFi?

My relatively new Toshiba notebook is connected to ADSL via its ethernet port and a WIRED ADSL Modem.

Is it possible to use my Notebook's internal Wifi to create an access point for the Wii?

I've done this to connect another computer to my net connection wirelessly, but I can't seem to achieve it with the Wii.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

If your internal WiFi card is acting like a wireless router then you should be able to. I'm not that knowledgeable about notebooks. But, you might be able to create a wireless network if thats the case. If your WiFi card can do that go to Start-->My Network Places, then under Network Tasks click Set up a wireless network for a home or small office. Then follow the steps from there. But, if that doesn't work you may need to buy a wireless router to connect your Wii to the internet.

Thanks.

I've tried that.

I created an ad-hoc network (between 2 devices) and the Wii detected it. Just had an error when trying to connect - saying it couldn't find the access point (SSID).
