Can't connect online! HELP!

Hey im new to this forum. I'm on my laptop right now. I would be on my Wii but i cant get the internet to work.
I was wondering if any of you gurus could help.
I have wireless and my router is 'THOMSON SpeedTouch 576 v6' Or just the SpeedTouch and the number bit.
its password protected, and I am entering the right password for it into my Wii. But it says wrong infomation or somthing. Can anyone help me please. I am desprate to go online on there. Thanks. And if whoever helps I will award with reputation if you have it on this forum.

Ok, I dont care if its nooby or against the forum rules but I really doo need help!
I found out my password was wrong and now have the correct one. Thre are 3 connection bars. And it fails the test connection thing.
PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! HELP ME!
