Can't go back?!?!?

Ok so I missed the heart in the Forest Temple and finally went back to get it but there is no way in the stupid temple. The monkeys are gone to help me across the ropes so how in the heck am i supposed to get this heart piece or am i just S.O.L???

By the way its the heart piece you use the boomerrang to get by putting out the torches...

when the monkeys leave the only way to get around is with the clawshot (a.k.a. hookshot)

what did he spoil for you, monkeys? hookshots? hearts? it was the hearts wasnt it? yeah i totally didnt think there were going to be hearts in this game but i was wrong.....
