COD Black Ops online issues

Hi everyone. I can't seem to connect to the online games? I select connect to online game and it says connecting but it never connects, doesn't fail either it just says connecting to online service (or words to that effect).

Anybody any similar issues? My wii is connected to the net though as I have access to the usual online services, weather channel etc on my 'desktop'

Very frustrating as this is the part I enjoy most!

Mine needed a game update at first. I went to profile and re-imputted my name in and the second try it connected, did the update and I got online
