My Roomates wii is up here in our apartment and we have wireless through the school. we connect on our computers by downloading a VPN service and connecting using out school account names and passwords. there is also a service for guests that only require typing in a non-school email to connect. is there any way we would be able to connect to it? either by a VPN somehow or on the guest network? Thanks

You could change the Mac address of your computer to match the Wii and then connect to the guest system with the Wii uplugged. Once the connection is active then change the MAC back the way it was and turn the Wii on and it should work.

Otherwise does your PC have a spair unused network connection? You could use network connection sharing to route the traffic through your PC that is already connected.

Do you mean to connect the wii to one of our computers we have online?

How do you change a MAC address? and on what, the wii or the computer? I thought MAC address couldnt be changed.

You would change the PC's MAC address to match the WII, then connect to the guest network and authenticate. After you've connected you change the computers MAC back (or just change one digit to make it easy) and plug the Wii back into power.
The MAC address can be changed for most network cards with the appropriate driver
