I have a USB "dongle" and am trying to access Wii Shop (or anything online with the Wii) on CSU Fullerton's dorm network. I believe all ports are blocked on the PC, however, because of how they do security.

So I am asking... is there any possible way around this? Grah, it really frustrates me.

Error message in the 2000s. Said it could not connect to the internet. As you can see, the internet works fine here, and it did recognize the usb dongle. Thus I'd assume it has to do with connection settings. It isn't the firewall (at least on this PC) so I assume the Wii doesn't have access to the proper ports, correct?

Yes it is. The USB connector is not the problem, I assure you.

many colleges, such as mine, allow you to log in your device, in this case your wii, through a website using your school account information, password, and the MAC address of your device. also, you might want to try contacting your school's IT department and asking them about giving your wii's MAC address access to the net
