connecting to internet to PLAY VC games

Hello all

noob of the highest order right here, but ill try to be as smart as I can.

I understand being connected to the net to download games, but do i need to be connected to play them? I only ask because i dont have an internet connection that is compatible with the Wii(Telstra Wireless Broadband).

I was going to go over a mates place and use his ADSL to download them, and back them up to an SD card. Is this possible?

You don't need an internet connection to play VC games. However, make sure you bring your Wii to your friend's house, you won't be able to just stick some games on an SD card then put them on your own console.

I was aware that i must download them to my console, and i wont forget to take it over there. i havnt played DKC and super mario bros in years and am getting very nostaligic
