Hi to all,

Installed Roxio Creator 2011 on Windows 7 PC. When I ran "Edit Video", error message reads, "The program can't start because d2dx9_33.dll is missing...".

I re-downloaded and reinstalled Roxio Creator 2011. Rebooted. The same error came up when I tried to run "Edit Video".

Downloaded and added d3dx9_33.dll to the c:/Windows/System32 directory. Rebooted. The same error came up when I tried to run "Edit Video".

I think your issue is that you need to update your directx 9, even if you think it is already updated just go ahead and do it. Here is the link, http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35

I believe this should solve your problem. Good luck, and let us know.

Hi james,

Try to follow these steps :

[h=2]d2dx9_33.dll[/h]
This is because you are missing a file.
Step 1. You can download http://dllcentral.com/d3dx9_33.dll/9.18.904.0015/download/ here.
Step 2. Paste this file into your system32 and system folder. Also put it in your syswow
Step 3. Navigate to your System32(32Bit OS) or SyWOW64(64Bit OS) Folder.
Note: The location of System32 or SyWOW64 is
C:Windows\System32 (If you are using 32Bit Windows)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (if you are using 64Bit Windows)
Step 4.Paste the d3dx9_33.dll into this folder.
Step 5.Run the game. It might work now.

here are the steps to fix d3dx9_33.dll error

You can download the missing d3dx9_33.dll file from the link provided below:

http://www.d3dx9.net/download-missing-d3dx9_33-dll/
After downloading the missing msvcr80.dll file, restore this file into System32 folder.

Path to System32 folder is:

C:/ Windows / System32
Note: C: Drive is your Window Drive.

You may need to restart your PC in order to make the changes effective. This is the source, which is best for solving this sort of dll related issues.
