Did Virtua Tennis 2009 come out today?

According to gamestop.com copies of Virtua Tennis don't ship until June 9th. So it will probably be on store shelves June 10th or 11th.

great.ive been looking out for this.Hopefully there will be some major improvements as theres plenty of potential for it to be a great sports game.

I wouldn't count on it, at least on the Wii version. Grand Slam Tennis looks more polished, I'm going with that tennis title this year.

I may buy one of these Motionplus tennis titles. I agree that Grand Slam tennis looks much more polished. But Virtua Tennis has online multiplayer, so if its even near as good as Grand Slam I may get it instead. Plus Virtua Tennis is dropping at $39.99 which makes a big difference when your gonna buy a WM+

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe GST has online multiplayer also.

I just looked it up and you are correct Grand Slam Tennis does feture an online multiplayer mode with NO FRIEND CODES:thumbsup:. Ok that pretty much sealed the deal for me, I'm getting Grand Slam. Does it come packaged with Motionplus? or is that just Tiger Woods?

In Europe GST is packaged with MotionPlus, and in the US it'll only be Tiger Woods packaged with MotionPlus for $10 more.

Works for me though since I'm getting Tiger Woods anyways. :)

I'm going with Virtua Tennis. From what I've read in advance reviews it requires more actual motion rather than button action. I've got mine pre-ordered from Amazon along with a couple Wii Motion thingies.

Over at Gamespot's forums, Dru1984 kindly posted scans of Official Nintendo Magazine's reviews of both Grand Slam Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2009:

Despite the difference in scores, these games still look too close for me to decide. Priority is on a 'natural' tennis experience for me. VT does appear to have more 'fun' single-player options, though. Both have online play.

I'll wait for the tennis reviews. But I already pre-ordered TW10. Wit M+, it's a no-brainer. The disc golf makes it a must-have.
