There is an orange light, n i usually take off a plug so thers no light wut do u guys do/
The wii was designed to be left 'on'. When you shut down the Wii it goes into hybernation. There is minimal sysem running and IIRC doesnt take up more energy then your DVD/VCD/Cable box and its Clock. So there is no need to unplug it.
The advantage to not unplugging it is you will get a blue glow in your CD slot when you have a new message. I know the vertical blue smile always makes my day.
To answer your question, I power it down but dont unplug it.
Leave it on, in low power mode 24/7 in a month you'll use 7.2KW of power, not much at all when you look at the rates you pay for 'leccy.
Ya, I leave my Wii "on". If you turn off, the clock/date will be out-to-date, and you won't be able to download and update atomaticaly I think.
EDIT: I can't connect my Wii to the internet. See my first post/thread.
