Do you need to recharge wii remote?

My Brother said you need to recharge your wii remote. do you need to, like before using it for the 1st time?

Uh... the Wii remote comes with regular AA batteries. You just pop them in, and play. Simple as that.

If you are using re-chargeable batteries however, you will need to charge them from time to time. Happy gaming.

OH yeah.. If you buy the wii it comes with your first pair of AA batteries for you wii-mote furthermore you'll have to buy batteries.
I love rechargeables...I used to spend a lot of moneyz in batteries but last month I got me 4 rechargeable batteries and is like oh yeah!!! just go back and charge them!

If you use the new "Hybrid" rechargeables, they come already charged and ready to go.

Those are the type we use. They hold their charge 4 times longer than regular rechargeables and can be recharged in a regular recharger unit.

Make sure you read the instructions carefully on what type of batteries not to put into your Wiimote. If the wrong battery types are in it, it can bleed acid. Not a pretty sight.

i've got a 15minute charger, which is ideal. If i run out of juice, I pop them in, make a cup of tea and then I'm back in business
Highly recommend a quick charger.
