For all you pathetic idiots that want to mod your wii, or any other consoles, computre, or anything. Here are some facts DO NOT MOD YOU NOOBS! Its wrong, its cheap, its costly, its illegal, and its stupid. If you can't pay a decent price for right things then don't game at all. For modders nintendo is releasing firmware very soon, you WILL get caught! It is 100 percent illegal in the US, UK, canada, japan, spain, colombia, france, Germany, UAE, and tons and tons of other places. More countires are getting ahold of their illegal piracy. Play safe, and fair people-or don't play at all.

right now wii modchips are kinda pointless and used mainly for piracy but people do buy them so they dont have to use their original discs or so they can play imports. i for one have (well had, it broke :( ) a modded xbox. it is the best thing ive ever done to it. i was able to backup all 18 of my games and didnt need to keep swapping out games. also i was able to mod games like halo2 to give it more on a halo1 feel (Halo2:Combat Evolved Mod for the xbox!!) and mod halo1 to have some awsome user created maps. also modding was never illegal. the only thing that is illegal about modding is being able to play pirated games. the rest IS NOT illegal
 
my post was deleted why? am i the only person who has so far seen the controdictory in some of the facts? i'm not disagreeing with him, if not agreeing, just letting u know to go over what you have written.

Its a good thing that the trillion dollar video game industry has your help in catching these vile criminals. I turned in my roomate for pirating Madden 04, and a van drove up to my crib with the EA logo on the side of it. Men in black suits and sunglasses kicked in my door, told me to "go for a walk" and proceeded to pull out my roomate's braces with needle nose plyers. Thats what he gets. (get a life).
 
Psh, I don't really care about this crap. I need the money more than whoever I pirate **** from. I don't mod my consoles or anything but usually if I can get something for free there is no way I am going to pay for it. If I legally paid for all of my music it would have cost me thousands of dollars. There are also some things that I would buy if they were priced reasonably, such as PhotoShop, and Windows Vista. I also have some news for you, I probably won't ever get caught.
 
Ha ha, you don't think it takes money to develop photoshop and vista? Now, I agree they get overpaid, but getting it for free?

You don't (I hope) drive away after filling up your car with gas. And oil companies are posting record profits. Why would you do that to companies? I hope you all are studying to go be programmers or music artists or something. That way you'll be screwed.

actually this fall im going to collage for animation which im gonna use for video games :D. i will admit that when i had my modded xbox i downloaded games but i did it to see if it was worth buying and if it wasnt, i just played it for like 3 days and then deleted it.
 
Piracy is what makes the internet go around. If you don't like it get off the internet. And you should really stop using the word mod, you can mod consoles and Pc's with out doing anything to the way they run. Do you remember Napster and all the other P2P programs that blew up and made the internet what it is today. People like you are now trying to limit the internet in every aspect. It is really sad.

Ya it does take money to develop them but not that much, especially Vista which hardly has anything new besides Aero that just uses up all your system resources and makes it look pretty. That and your just giving your money to Bill Gates who is already rich of his ass. About the filling up your car thing, I probably would if I could get away with it. I actually do want to do something with programming though.
 
Meh I only ever mod to play imports (the UK has to wait)

O here comes little timmy with a nice new mod to install in his wii..
The wii is built in with a device to sence the mod and Automaticlly turns off FOR GOOD. Good bye wii. Only newer models have that. Dont screw around with mods..or your going to end up like little Timmy. =/
