Dose a belkin usb network adapter work

Hi i got a belkin wireless G usb network adapter, will this work to get the wii online? Or do i need a router?

I believe you need a router the adapter is (i think) basically used to hook up a laptop (using the adapter) to the router to allow you to roam ie the house. So i think and hopefully if im wrong someone will put me right you will need a router.

you can get a new router onsale at best buy for $30 - $50... wireless routers is the recommended way and reliable that trying to get other methods up and running :yesnod:
