Ds Lite Problem

I am having a problem with my Ds.

Whenever i try to save a game, this pops up.

"Unable to find backup memory."

Anybody know what is wrong?

Are you using a M3 or R4 or something other than your orginal DS lite? If not, I have no clue? Call Nintendo up.

Nope, original ds lite. i just got it on sunday too. bit late to call nintendo. ill call tomarrow.

Very strange indeed. Does this happen when you save playing with 1 game or with everygame?

Hmm Did you try to modify such as flash your ds's firmware ?

No, i just got it on sunday as a birthday present. im going to best buy to return it and get another one on this coming sunday, unless i can find a way to fix it.
