Hi Guys,
This is my first post here. Glad to see there is an active website for Wii that provides "real" help. Anyways, I'm having issues connecting my Wii online. Here is my current setup
Seimens Speedstreem 4200 connected via Ethernet
A Wifi USB Connector
A Brand new Wii that I can't get online
Trend Micro Firewall/Antivirus
A throbbing headache.
Here is what I've done so far.
Did all the motions and downloaded the new drivers for connector.
Added NintendoWFCReg.exe to the allowed programs list
Set the IP setting of the USB WiFi to 192.168.2.1 as instructed by Sony
Ran WiFi program on PC and it detects my Wii Name.
Granted access to the Wii
Tested setting on my Wii and gave out a 52241 error.
Moved the Wii near the PC (how near? at least 2cm apart)
Tried it again no dice.
My Internet and Modem Manufacturer ofcourse were of no help as they do no support them.
At the moment I'm stumped and have taken 4 tabs of panadol already. HELP!
I've used my daughter's DS and used Animal Crossings to access online and it was able to do so without any dramas
