Maybe Mythbusters should have went to them to try the ceiling fan head decapitation myth, but then again it called for a normal house hold one. BUT STILL!! :D

With the dimensions, CFM, and voltage requirements, I've never had a problem replacing any failed fan in any failed device I've come across. Just takes some skill with a soldering iron.

Check places like MCM Electronics and Allied Electronics, they have lots of hard-to-find parts. Hell, I got the replacement cartridge slot connector for my NES from MCM.
Thanks for these links, I will use these sites in the future.

However, I used some canned air to clean the fan and now it works

well my dreams of you somehow retrofitting a jet turbine wheel as a fan have been shattered. let me know if it breaks again, but i honestly hope it doesn't. could've just been some dust or something binding it up.

Some cooling fans can actually cause more heat because they drain the power from the wii itself, thus making it work harder equals more heat. Just send it to Nintendo it wouldn't cost much just for a new fan.
