From what I understand about Hudson they are opposed to person on person violence in their games. I read about this when Onslaught was coming out, and that was the reason there was no deathmatch in that game (as well as all enemies being bugs and losing points in multiplayer for shooting other players).

I suppose they could have gone the paintball route on this one too. Who knows, maybe they'll do another game for paintball sometime down the road.

    Paintball would be really cool.

To be honest, we already have enough games where we shoot aliens or humans. If we are lucky we get zombies. I like how FPSes in the 90s really made themselves distinguish from each from shooting demons from hell, mummies and so forth.

I guess even a twist like this is nice.
