Gamecube Saves

Too costly.

The Wii only features Bluetooth internally, while the sensor bar is made up of IR LEDs.

The WaveBird, however, is stuck on old RF technology.
so that still leaves option open for making GC and other controllers with bluetooth functionality in the future

What they could do is making a different shaped reciever, since the current one for the gc is like a L shape:

What they could do is move the part where it connects to the gc (the metal part that sticks out). They could move it 90 degrees and make it straight. This way, it'll stick out instead of having the flaps on the wii making it hard to put on. Not sure how the wavebird currently stays on though. Plus, the Wavebird uses signals with numbers so you don't need to buy a whole new controller, just the reciever

In the amount of time and money it would take to release one, everyone who has a WaveBird would've already grown accustomed to removing the reciever when they want to close the flap. Besides, by your argument, you still wouldn't be able to close the flap, due to how shallow it is.

It's just frivolous accessories like updates and remakes to already perfect hardware that Nintendo really could do without right now.

After all, they're trying to prove to people that this isn't GameCube 2.0. Due to this fact, I bet you will never see a first party game utilize a GameCube controller throughout the entire existence of the Wii.

And no, SSBB doesn't count because it's a third party developer using first party trademarks.

unles they make it by usb.....

And waste a USB port?

The only option they would ever possibly have is creating a sensor bar for the WaveBird that would plug into the sensor bar port in the back of the system, but even then, they'd be wasting time and money that could be used to make new games, instead of worrying about how people will play the old ones.
