This is starting to concern me... Will there be any good games coming out on the Wii? In the latest Hyper magazine I was rather concerned by the grave lack of Wii material, as opposed to all the fantastic-looking games for the PS3 and Xbox360, not to mention PC... I have been a Nintendo fan for most of my life and I'm sad to say my faith in Nintendo is shaking unless they bring out something truly spectacular.

Sony seems almost unshaken by all the negative criticism and have continued to develop their games, while the Xbox 360 continues along full-steam ahead, cranking out games like Condemned and Gears of War. It saddens me to think games like F.E.A.R, Gothic 3, Dark Messiah, Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony and Rainbow Six: Vegas (to name a few) will not see the light of day on the Wii... It's gritty, dirty, depressing games like this that the Wii needs...

Someone please tell me I am wrong in thinking nothing good will come to the Wii...

Not much is really known about these games yet, but Sadness, Resident Evil, and Diaster: Day of Crisis might be what your looking for.

    To add to that list:
    • Forever Blue(not sure but looks ok)
    • Bomberman Land
    • Wing Island
    • Blazing Angles(I'm not sure if its out yet)

That makes 27 good games coming out. Also more titles may have been missed so there are games to look forward to

I feel a little better now, kudos to you guys!

Although... It would really make my day to see something published by Valve, Ritual, or ID Software, but hey beggars can't be choosers

The Wii has a lot of impressive titles out, i don't see a need for concern but if you are still kinda worried i suggest renting a few games. most of the time what you hear about games it not true so give em a shot.

They better make some sports games, thats the best way to take advantage of the Wii Remote. I don't understand why there hasn't been much talk about other sports games, besides wii sports and madden.

These are some titles out now(some have been posted)

    Blazing Angels
    Call Of Duty 3
    Excite Truck
    Madden NFL 07
    Need For Speed Carbon
    Rayman Raving Rabbids
    Red Steel
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
    Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam

By the end of the year which is not far away
    Elebits
    Far Cry Vengeance
    Splinter Cell Double Agent

    2007 and beyond
    Animal crossing- fall 07
Disaster Day Of Crisis - spring 07
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles- fall 07
    Fire Emblem- summer 07
    Mario Strikers Charged- spring 07
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption- spring 07
Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles- Fall 07
Sonic and The Secret Rings- Spring 07
Super Smash Bro's Brawl- summer 07
    WarioWare: SMooth Moves- january 07

There are other titles i didnt mention that are still decent but the ones i listed are my interests. Spring looks busy and good and plus there will surelybe some surprise games that have not been mentioned at all which could be good. I'd have 2 say Wii looks pretty damn good for 07 at least, hope the other years are as strong.

I know it seems like a long time away, but expect to see A LOT of games in early 2008 or 2007 Q4 because developers are going to see how popular wii is. Also, graphics will be better by 2007 and, as I've heard, Wii games are a lot easier and less expensive to develope. There are already some excellent games out.

I doubt it. Even if Nintendo says so. Don't trust them.

I don't think Nintendo aimed this console at the hardcore fighting market, they have quite cleverly positioned this console to attract the attention of a wider audience, making it more family (young and old) orientated.
They obviously see this as a market not yet captured by the Xbox or PS2 etc, therefore I can't see these types of depressing games getting the full publicity.
The Wii is about fun interactive gaming, not high definition violence.

Maybe not to the extent PS3 or 360 but one of Nintendo's goals were to get more M rated games.

how super bango would it be hey!

Can you imagine a DooM game on the Wii? It doesn't even have to be DooM III but another game made specifically for the Wii. Or even a specialised version of SiN - Episodes or Half-Life! or something with super-cool online multiplayer :D
