getting through firewall's

Ok, my problem is that my wii will only connect to the internet when the security on my router is switched off. This means that any time I want to use my pc, I need to switch it all back on again which will then stop my wii from being online 24/7, therefore, when I want to get back online with my wii again, i've gotta go back and switch off the router security. This is a real pain so can anyone suggest a way to let my router know that the wii should be allowed through so I don't have to constantly switch off the security?

Its a btvoyager2091 router and its just the routers security that i need to switch off
