going online with the wii

hi peeps, i go online with the wii, i connect my wii to my pc using ethernet cable and share my connection, i connect to the internet using a three 3g dongle and it works ok, some games lag and some dont, recently tho iv bin playing the conduit and after a while it just says you have been disconnected from the other plays, its real annoying coz i dont get my points, was wondering if anybody else connects this way and if they do wot settings do they have setup, eg. like ip address (automatic or sumat else) dns (automatic or sumat else) and the mtu setting, thanks
