It had to happen! Fans of the smash hit TV show Gormiti will be excited to hear that Konami is bringing out a Wii game based on the series called Gormiti: The Lords of Nature! The game is due to be released in Europe in Q3 2010, and will feature familiar characters and locations from the TV show, including the island of Gorm, where the Lords of Earth, Sea, Air and Forest are charged with stopping the evil Magmion from wreaking havoc.
The action starts when a character called Razzle accidentally knocks some old books into a Portal. The books fall all the way down to Gorm and land at the feet of Magmion, the evil Lava Gormiti. When Magmion reads the book he learns about an old legend which tells of reuniting five sacred amulets which have been scattered across Gorm. Once reunited, the amulets allow the holder to open an inter-dimensional portal to Earth. That can’t be good! The Lords of Nature are then called upon to use all their unique powers to thwart Magmion and save Earth.
Featured gameplay modes include story and arcade modes, a two-player co-operative mode, and jigsaw and sliding tile puzzle games. All FMV sequences in the game are voiced by actors from the cartoon show, and once unlocked, a full 40 minutes of action can be viewed.
Fans of the show can expect to see lots of familiar landmarks in the game, and as far as action goes, the player gets to directly control three of the Lords of Nature within a group, using each Lord’s skills to battle Magmion’s minions with melee Super attacks and long-range moves. Players will also be faced with a variety of puzzles and obstacles to overcome using the three Lords under their control.
