Yesterday night, I was playing SatSR, and my Wii made grinding noises and rumbled, so I switched to SMG and it was fine, then I switched back and it grinded again.

I called Nintendo and the lady said:

Her: "The disk drive has moving parts in it. It's normal."

Me: "It's quite loud."

Her: "Do you need to turn up your volume to hear the game?"

Me: "Well... not really."

So I kept playing.

Today, I popped in NFS: Carbon and it did it louder, so I played until I realised it got louder a second time.

I called Nintendo again:

Me: "Yesterday, I followed the advice someone gave me about my disk drive's grinding noise, and it is getting louder."

Another lady: "Is it only on one game?"

Me: "No, it's on two that I tried, the one not grinding being SMG."

Her: "What's your serial number?"

Me: "LU________."

Her: "Okay, we can send you a replacement then."

*I put in SatSR*

Me: "It seems to have stopped...
Um... if it gets worse, I'll call back to get a replacement."

Her: Well, you have 'til March to send it back in."

Well, what should I do?
Should I wait 'til it may get worse, or play it safe and send it in now.

get it replaced NOW. If it comes back after march, then your screwed. and it might mess up your game. always play it safe in this sort of situation

But the 1st lady said it's normal!!

I know I should send it in, but I'm sorta' confused actually.

Its not normal. It happened to me, and i had to get it fixed. It will keep happening, just at random times.

Send it in. The same thing happened to me, and I had my new Wii within 2 days of calling it in. It worked out great and didn't cost me a penny.

mines as well made noises but only on a certain game for example it made noise when i played mysims. it wasn't a loud out of control ready 2 break down noise but it made some noise.

I want to send it in, but I'm having trouble with both Purolator and UPS.

Thanks for the comments people!!

So, I'm assuming it was something other than this?
Her: "The disk drive has moving parts in it. It's normal."
Because, whenever I put a new game in, it makes a clinking noise whilst reading it. I always assumed that was normal.

Mine only makes noises when playing MP3 cos it's data is stored in accorddance to it's maps and when i travel from planet to planet (map to map) i hear the clicking sounds, but all my other games don't make sounds
