Publisher Activision revealed a new set of tracks for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock today during the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany.

The confirmed songs were:

* I'm in the Band (by The Hellacopters)
* Avalancha (by Heroes Del Silencio)

* Ruby (by Kaiser Chiefs)
* Closer (by Lacuna Coil)
* Generation Rock (by Revolverheld)
* Mauvais Garcon (by NAAST)
* Radio Song (by Superbus)

According to Activision, Guitar Hero III will retain all the key features of its predecessors while offering new features such as a multiplayer battle mode, boss battles with rock stars, online play and downloadable content. The game is set for an October release.

that's not the full set list... failed to be mentioned is Metallica's "One" (go to www.metallica.com, it's on their front page as confirmed), Velvet Revolver's "She Builds Quick Machines" (plus another song composed by Slash, who also appears in the game) and Guns N' Roses "Welcome To The Jungle", amongst others.

So no, this isn't the full list that I have seen before. If above is the real list, which i strongly believe ISN'T, I will be EXTREMELY disappointed.

I'm not too happy with the song list. But hell, theres a couple songs on it that i like so its not too bad I guess. It would be better if there was no Dragonforce though!
