Harvest Moon: Animal Parade Released-1.052009-11-11 09:01:30Maura S
Natsume has today announced that Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for the Wii™ has shipped to retail.

“Harvest Moon: Animal Parade delivers the ultimate in farming fun! It features entertaining new characters, a huge variety of fun pets, and exciting new activities,” said Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume. “Anyone looking for a family-friendly Wii title this fall should make sure that Harvest Moon: Animal Parade is at the top of their list.”

The story of the game sees the previously flourishing village of Harmonica Town experiencing a crisis: crops are withering, the wind has ceased to blow, and the five elemental bells have disappeared. The Harvest King is the only one who can revive the land, but he’s also disappeared! It’s therefore all down to you to find the five bells, wake the Harvest King and save the day. No pressure!

Harvest Moon games are always a lot of fun, and Animal Parade seems to be no exception, expanding on the overall theme of living off the land. Activities you can participate in include fishing, mining, cultivating crops, and looking after wild animals such as penguins, pandas, and monkeys. You also get to take your exotic beasts out for walks, ride them around the village, and teach them new tricks. And that’s not all – when the circus visits, the ringmaster will also ask you to help him round up his escaped animals and save the show.

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade is priced at an MSRP of $49.99, and is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
