Help Im stuck possible bug?

I am at the part where the monkey guides you accross the fog and drops your lantern. I thought I had picked the lantern up but it is not in my inventory nor can I select it from the up down left right menu all thats there is my bottle full of lantern oil my fishign rod slingshot and the creepy kid.

without the lantern I cannot go back accross the fog or proceed by burnign the spider web... am I missing something here? other then my lantern

It may be somewhere in the fog, i'm not sure.

well I cant go in the fog without a lantern so if my lantern is i nthe fog Im really hooped.

Im surprised this could happen Im 4 hours into the game I dont want to restart all over again.

It may be near that weird little wooden gate that has the purple dudes inside.


or start from your last save point. If you u can't find it

yeah I looked all around where the monkey dropped it its not there. and unfortunately I kept saving over the same game so the only save point i have is the one that starts me without a lantern
