Help... remote and green light doesn´t turn red

After pressing the red sync button on the console for about 10-15 seconds, and syncronizing the remote, the remote starts to work, but when I start a game the remote is no longer working.
Then when I press the off button, the TV loses the image, but the light in the console stays green.
Pressing the button again the console doesn´t respond, so I have to press the button for about five seconds to the light turn red, after that I press the button and the console turns on, but the remote doesn´t work.
Need help, please.

this is unusual and you should either call nintendo (1-800-255-3700) or deal with their online support at www.nintendo.com i doubt anyone here has seen that problem before. good luck.

now im not point fingers but that issue happens [mainly if not all the time] when the wii is modded.

I maybe completely wrong though and its just a hardware issue so do as skid [up above] said and call up Ninty or go to therr site for assistance
