i honestly prefer playing my older games in their original state. i like using the original controls and stuff, but it is hard to argue with the saving or "suspended play"

it's a lot easier, and neater, to use the VC than the real systems themselves. if you have the original game, i don't see the point in buying it for the VC

my point was, me and my friend dont have that much time to play when we do....its like 1:00 am to 2:00 am before we both have to sleep for work in the morning......we wouldnt get a chance to play many games in their entirety.

same goes for some other VC games.....yeah it makes them easier, but thats the only way I can really play them sometimes.

4. Blowing on a cartridge = thing of the past.

Yes, blowing on the cartridge helped with the dust but I take one extra step. Put it close to your mouth ( i mean close to touching) and exhale slowly and heavily. The heat and moisture coming off your breath will add a tiny (barely any) moisture to the pins on the card and helps get a better conductive contact. Never failed for me.

that exactly what I said.

His point was so you can play the games wireless and not have to be 4 feet from the TV (I.E. lay down and play or whatever)

Slight prob

If you wanna play anythin the needs more than a few buttons you cant play via the wiimote (like N64, Snes )

Well, not sure about your controllers but mine are about 6-10 feet in cord length which is face enough for me.

i think its very nice to have some old games you love to play in one convenient place...rather than having 100 NES games and inserting and removing them from the NES constantly. This really doesn't bother me, but its much more convenient to play on the VC.

The old NES games will never lose their charm, and you really should never have to blow in them to get them to work. Blowing in them is actually one of the primary sources of corrosion. If its not contacting correctly, take the cart apart and use a white eraser on the contacts...clean with alchohol and q-tips and you've got a brand new game. I even found someone online who had the original NES pin connectors from a service center that closed down. its sweet to have an NES that will keep working my whole lifetime..and maybe for my kids.

If you own the game its still nice to have it on the wii....especially if you have 5 or 7 systems to keep setting up.

Hence the reason for producing the Classic Controller.

WOW so you guys still have a turbo graphx and neo geo still plugged up? I mean I never got a genesis and some game did even come out over here. Yeah sure you can play them emulated but for some reason it always sucked! Then on top of that most of the games I have you can't even find emulated and if you can there is always some glitch.

Really All I need now is a controller for sin and punishment and I'm good to go!
Plus too buy getting the VC game you automatically have a soto- warranty. So as long as your Wii still turns on you will alway be able to download these games. I'm not sure but I think you can transfer the account to another Wii but maybe I'm wrong about that.

Also this works a lot better for those gamer who have projector set up in the game room. You have every thing tucked away in the AV closet and about 5+ console for retro goodness! Which all can now use a wireless controller. Get your self a 2 gig SD card and your ready for any thing! Also roms get corrupted a lot! Then you don't have to worry about viruses!

Now what I want is a super famicom controller though! They have them in japan too! Retro knock offs that plug into the Wii mote would be sweet! Then on top of that consoles break! I still need to beat super ghouls and ghost, and r-type 3! Man I love my VC line up!

even though the backs of the games say not to, I always put alcohol on a q tip and rubbed off all the nasty black dirt.......when I bought a game cleaning kit, I noticed it smelled like alcohol.....they make money selling their official game cleaning kit

All the roms I got (dont worry I only have ones of stuff I got) I have had for a while and they have never become corrupted

If somebody dls a rom and gets a virus from it its the site they got it off thats at fault

Check your facts

the oldest NES rom file on my computer was downloaded in 1994.....most of them are 1995.......If I blow on them a few times, they will still work.

yes they had roms back then.......I have most of my old stuff passed down from HD to HD over the years. I still have X-com ,monkey island, wolfenstein 3d with map edit, all my good 90's stuff. Star control. A dice program made with basic that rolls a number 1-x.......(that was the pimp **** when i was in middle school)

yes its just like the 80's.......when you traded porn GIFs on a disk, my dad had a "car" phone, Huey lewis was entertaining us with his mega smash record "sports", and my spirit hadn't been crushed by the weight of the unforgiving world yet.

well i dont have maney older systems working so the wii helped alot and fixed that problem but i do emulate the games that wont work\arnt out on wii yet
