Help!!! Wii Sports Dont work

Hey i have a chipped Jap 2.2 wii just got it like 1 week ago! all the games i bought In hong kong worked fine, (hint they cost £1.50 each) but the games are like mario strikers in eng, and loads of japs and eng games. However i boughts off ebay Wii Sports a very very real copy PAL, and it didnt work? i fort the chip shud cover this area of region free>? do i have to change a setting or somefing, bearing in mind my wii is jap and i cant read jap! Much help is needed!!! thank you for reading this!!!

Perhaps its a bad disc because I know there are MANY people all over the world playing the PAL version of Mario Strikers on their NTSC Wii.

like wii sports loads at the menu part, the part where the cd is spinning and slides down, and wii sports appears, and i click the right hand button to start the game, and then its a black screen!
