How do i reset my console to default settings

i recently got a used wii and i am trying to hook it up to the internet but it's asking me for a password and information from the previous owner. there has to be a way to just reset the whole thing right?

Call Nintendo theyll give you a master key to override that.

I think you need the password to reset it from the Wii System menu. There is probably another way.

You need the PASSWORD to do that too!!

According to another Nintendo Wii forum, the only way to reset the Wii password is to call Nintendo.

The code to reset is a logarithm code taken from the code key, serial number, and date of request.

lol it's been so long, i don't remember, and i don't think i reformatted, i ended up deleting everything instead, it was so much easier.
