how do i update a modded wii without damaging the system

i recently got my wii chipped so i could play "unnoficial (pirate) wii Games" and it has run great and saved me a small fortune, however, when i tried to play mario galaxy and paper mario i get an update screen which tells me that if i proceed the my machine would becom innoprable.....how do i / can i update my wii in order to play these games.. please help:mad2:

You should've never modded your Wii. Doesn't the person who modded your Wii send out Email Updates so you can copy them to a SD card and use it on your Wii?

I would NOT recommend for you to update your Wii because if it breaks and you call Nintendo they will not help you because your Wii is modded.
Best thing you can do is ask the person/service you modded from, and ask how you can get updates.

chipping your wii to play your own backups (i.e. games you OWN and backup so you dont ruin the original) is just fine but talk of downloading them off the net is not allowed.
