If you’ve got a hankering to play a fun racing game on your Wii then you might like to take a look at Nordic Games’ Jungle Kartz, which is out now. The game has been developed by indie British developers Brain in a Jar, who are racing game specialists. All the action in the game takes place on a tropical island, featuring eight challenging environments across a whopping 32 tracks, including the likes of Tropic Bay, Rift River Valley, Ra Desert to name but a few. Players get to race as one of eight animal characters, each of whom has a unique special track advantage, including Sass the Tigress, Gus the Gorilla, and Rocky the Coyote. Each character and kart has been developed to suit a particular type of driving style, with vehicles ranging from light rapid karts to big powerful speed machines. As you’d expect in an arcade-style racing game, there are also plenty of power ups to help you scupper your hapless opponent’s progress, or enhance your own performance, including speed boosts, time warps, guns, rockets, spider webs, ice puddles and many more. The game is also compatible with the Nordic Steering Wheel peripheral.

Jungle Kartz has been designed so that players of all ages and all difficulty levels can get involved, with a variety of racing challenges, including Quick Race, Time Trial and Tournament modes.
