just bought nintendo wi-fi usb connector

just bought nintendo wi-fi usb connector & set it up the way it says in manual & i get error code 52140 tried everything to get it to work & it still wont connect, i have a wired cable modem that is always connected & it still wont connect & i try to manually set it up & it asks me for ssid, i consulted nintendo support on their site & it asks to click here for step by step instructions on how to obtain ssid, but the click here wont work, can someone please help me out?????????

did everything it said to do on that site & now i cant even get the software to complete installation as it comes up internet connection error.(6) ?????
