Time for all the Gleeks out there to sing and dance their way down to their local games emporium as today is the day that Konami’s Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 is released for Wii in the US. Following up on the smash hit success of the first game in the series, this second act features an all-new musical lineup with 20 of Glee’s greatest hits and show moments from part two of Season One.

In the game, players get to return to the mic to sing their hearts out alongside Rachel, Kurt, Mercedes, and all of your favourite characters from the award-winning show, performing such showstoppers as “Gives You Hell,” “Bad Romance,” “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Like a Virgin,” “Dream On,” and many more. New faces also make their debut in the game, such as Bryan Ryan (played brilliantly by Neil Patrick Harris), and Jesse St. James (played equally brilliantly by Jonathan Groff). The game also features extended performances and exclusive clips from the show, and never-before-seen show moments. Here’s Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, talking about the game:

“With the show’s continued rating success and the breakout popularity of*Karaoke Revolution Glee, releasing a sequel was inevitable. We have created a truly authentic and interactive experience that will not disappoint self-described ‘Gleeks’ around the world as they sing and dance to their favorite songs from the show.”

Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 includes a dynamic feature set to make it much more than a traditional karaoke experience. Players can reach new achievements through Scrap Book mode, collecting unlockable items to enhance the competitive element. The newly added vibrato indicator will help you develop your singing ability as you belt out hard-hitting notes, Rachel style. The franchise’s proprietary voice-recognition technology also accurately recognises and scores vocal pitch and rhythm, so there’s no hiding place! *And that’s not even all: Interactive Multiplayer modes enable up to four players to join in the fun by competing in Shooting Star Mode, while their friends are singing on the mic, adding to the party atmosphere.

Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 is available now exclusively for Wii at retailers nationwide, for the SRP of $49.99, complete with bundled microphone.
