Eurogamer reports that a “revealing” trailer for the forthcoming Wii game, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, was shown by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata at the Game Developers Conference last week. As Eurogamer points out, this is the first footage we’ve seen of the game since E3 last year. The trailers shows off *several new gameplay features, some of which have been designed to take advantage of the Wii MotionPlus controller, which is no surprise really considering that Skyward Sword will only be playable if you have a MotionPlus remote or attachment. Eurogamer reports that key puzzles that require you to twist and turn your remote, as well as tightrope walking and bamboo chopping have all been made possible by MotionPlus. The video also features the controversially massive Wii Remote controller on the right side of the screen, which some gamers think could be a little too intrusive during gameplay. If you look closely, you’ll see the one in the trailer has an icon of Mr. Master Sword set to the down button on the d-pad, which Eurogamer notes may well mean that Link will be able to summon Mr. Master Sword for help just as he called on Midna in Zelda: Twilight Princess.
