Imagine, after 2008, what games will be "standard" in the library if a Wii owner. Even the ones who don't play it often. Be realistic, DONT LIST THE GAMES YOU WILL HAVE personally.

Here is my prediction:

-Wii Sports, obviously
-SSBB
-Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Mario Kart Wii

Any other games already announced I just can't see being "standard".

i thought red steel was lol.

but its abit dunno the word over expectant to think they will all be nintendo made.

i mean, i think,

medal of honor heroes 2 has a chance.
SSBB
Zelda
mario kart wii
wii play
red steel 2 (is gonna be big)

and mmm dunno what else

Red Steel 2? That game is going to have to have a lot more "fun" feature to it than the last game before it gets close to being a standard game.

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 will be a VERY good game...BUT, it doesn't appeal to a large variety of gamers. Just ones who like war games.

I hope RS2 will be good, but I don't think it'll be good enough to make the list of standard games.

Pretty much yeah. But thats only typical. That's always been the trend. but let's say they release a James Bond game. Those games are always major hits. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with one that was really good for 2008

Optimal Library:

Of games played ...

Metroid Prime 3
Zelda: Twilight (have)
Resident Evil 4
Wii Sports of course but why do we even have to list it?
Tiger Woods 08
Godfather Blackhand

Expected to be good enough
Super Mario Galaxy
Heroes 2
Victorious Boxer
Fifa 08

Waiting to see...
SSBB
Manhunt 2
Zack & Wiki
Table Tennis
Resident Evil: UC
WWE Smackdown
AMF Bowling

James Bond would be great for Wii if it had online multiplayer. Thats what every James Bond has needed from forever. Especially Goldeneye--Which, in my opinion, defined the FPS for the 3D age.

EDIT: Think of it this way, nearly everyone had these games for these systems-

N64:
Mario 64
Goldeneye
Ocarina of Time

GC:
SSB Melee
Mario Kart Double Dash

Those were the games to have. What kind of games for the Wii qualify on THAT level? Thats the question i'm asking.

Goldeneye was a king of it's time. One of the first amazing fps shooters. I still get my N64 out and play with my buddies because you can't beat the classic. Nightfire was also a great game and Agent Under Fire. I'd like to see a very similar game for the wii but updated and online capable..... and maybe with Peirce Brodsmon (spl) but that's asking way too much. Never was too fond of the new guy.

On the other hand, a Casino Royale game would SUCK. Goldeneye remake for Wii FTW! THAT would make the standard game list.

Def. But sadly that will NEVER happed. Apprently Nintendo has the rights to sell the game while RARE is allowed to produce the game. When microsoft bought RARE it caused these licenses to be split up disabling there to ever be a remake of the game. I don't even know if they can release it as a downloadable game for the Wii.

Well, not to be off topic, but Nintendo CAN release the game for Wii...it just has to buy the rights from M$. I don't think M$ will want to jack up their price either, its just a matter of Nintendo getting off their butts and doing it.

Back on Topic. Metroid Prime 3 could make it...but I doubt it. Not many people will think its great. I own it myself, but I haven't played in a month because it got too repetitive. I'm only 13% through the game.

I don't think Zelda is really going to be the "standard", Miyamoto stated that he was disappointed with it's sales in Japan, so I'm thinking it's only going to be a must-have in the West. I also doubt MP3 will be standard, since alot of would-be players shy away from it because of that "3".

For worldwide standards, obviously Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB and Mario Kart Wii. And I think DK Barrel Blast is going to be standard too. If bongos can win us over, why not barrels?

I doubt that this DK thing will be that big, it has hardly appealled to myself. Were talking epic games here. Obviously SSBB is an Epic because it has it's own forum so early. LoZ: TP is only a standard because it's one of the only good games out. One of the big reasons I have that game is because there was no other good games out.... that's not a good example for me because I love the series but this was probably the thinking that went through most peoples minds.
