Media Center/ Playing avi files.

ok so i have a flash drive and possibly an external harddrive filled with avi movies/tvshows.
with the internet channel is it possible to download a program that will allow my to play these files through my wii via the usb port at the back?
maybe the winamp media center or something?

orb is really sluggish, doesnt like play avi movies and makes pictures look really small. try win amp way better resolution and very fast, just google winamp and get the free download.

Currently there's no way to play good quality movies on Wii. Hopefully homebrew will proof me wrong. Orb is your best bet. There's also ModChip that allows you to play dvd's on Wii (I think) but might as well play it on a dvd player(if you have one).
