Memory Card for Wii

When i play gamecube games on my wii do i need a gamecube memory card to save my game or can i use a wii memory card?

i was just wondering cuz i don't have a gamecube memory card but i have a wii memory card...

If your going to buy a GC memory card make sure you buy the official nintendo one as other third party cards may get stuck in the wii ports.
