I wouldn't think they would resell them if they are banned, and if I got one, I would be pissed.

odd, you might expect someone to trade in a 'banned' xbox on the sly, or selling it on 2nd hand, but microsoft certified ones?

also, why do they get 'banned'? reported stolen or something? or modded ones only?

yah they banned modded 360s and if you are caught hacking on xbox live theyll ban you for life
going on xbox live is just something they dont check when they refurbish them i guess
