my wii disc slot does not glow

i am a new owner of a wii and was wondering is the disc slot light ment 2 glow when a game is inserted or connected 2 wi fi jus because mine does'nt

it's only glows when you have a new update via wi-fi, and when you put in or eject a game.

No your Wii is fine.
The light only is on when you have a message.
And it quickly goes on when playing a game etc.

That's Fine

I have had my wii for almost a year and that shouldn't be a problem, the only time it will glow is when:

• You turn on the wii for a fraction of a second
• When you recieved new data over wifi (wii message board)
• Or if you have update to system 3.2, for a fraction of the time when you select the game and click start.

You are okay, there is no need to worry, I was scared of that at first too.

Check your settings go to slot illumination and it probably says off
