Need For Speed Nitro Goes Gold-1.052009-10-20 09:17:21Wii
UK: Electronic Arts today announced that Need for Speed™ NITRO has just gone gold and will therefore be hitting UK stores earlier than expected, on November 6th rather than November 20th when it was originally due for release. Having been designed specifically for Nintendo’s two consoles, the Wii™ and the DS™, Need for Speed NITRO is an exhilarating arcade racer where cars get to tear up the tarmac at 200mph. *The game was recently named IGN’s Best Racing Game on the Wii and DS at this year’s E3.

“Our vision was to create something unique on the Nintendo platforms,” said senior producer Joe Booth. “Need For Speed NITRO combines the franchise’s trademark attitude, sense of speed and addictive gameplay with the approachability and pick up and play of Nintendo.”

The turbo-charged soundtrack features music from the likes of k-os, Dizzy Rascal and Armand Van Helden, The Enemy, Placebo and Crystal Method.

“This soundtrack musically exemplifies the intensity, attitude and adrenaline of Need for Speed NITRO” said Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of music and music marketing at EA. “This energetic collection of rock, electronic and hip hop, matches the incredible speed and intensity of a game experience players will never forget.”

Need for Speed NITRO is rated 7+ by PEGI.

Anybody owns this one? I'm honestly hyped up for racing games since I've got Mario Kart and the wheels for it.

It already out and has received pretty mixed reviews according to Metacritic, but the user score is much higher.
