Need help connecting

Okay this is really stupid... I bought an ethernet-usb adapter for 50 bucks, didn't work. Then I bought wifimax... didnt work. Now I bought the ofifical nintendo wifi usb and everything should work. My wii recognizes the wifi usb and i was able to grant it permession and finish setup but then once i get to connection test it tests forl ike 3 minutes and then error code 52242 or somethign comes up saying it can't connect.
Can anyone help?

Try disabling the firewall, placing the USB adapter closed to the unit (this worked for me) and as always a restart might work.
