Nintendo did poorly in adding fire pokemon to the game...so unless you got the national dex i get chimchar or ponyta

I assume this is for the storyline... so yeah Chimchar is basically your best bet, it's fast and all around strong.

personally, a fire punch electvire has done wonders for me.

your mileage might vary, though.
