New Star Trek Movie

    "Lost" creators-writers-producers J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof and Bryan Burk are bringing an 11th installment of the popular "Star Trek" franchise to the big screen. Burk, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will executive produce.

    Release Date: December 25, 2008

    Cast

    John Cho has been cast as Sulu.

    Simon Pegg has signed on to play Scotty, the ship's Scottish chief engineer.

    Also on board is Eric Bana as the villain, Nero.

    Zoe Saldana as Uhura

    Anton Yelchin as a young Chekov.

    AND Zachary Quinto as a young Spock!!

    Leonard Nimoy, who originated the role of Spock, is on board as well. Chris Pine is in talks to play the young Kirk.

    Plot details are begin kept under wraps, but it is understood that the movie chronicles the early days of the Enterprise crew. The lead roles remaining to be cast are Christopher Pike, the first captain of the Enterprise, and Kirk's parents.​

    No probs, I might actually go see this.. obviously not on the day of release, x-mas day wtf lol.. but yeah, Simon Pegg as Scotty!!!!

    I actually think with the stars they've got already, it could rake in a new generation of Star Trek fans.
