I'm a mom who is happy I found a wii for my kids. Bought it at a Pamida store in a small town, the first week of November. Now I'm on a mission to determine what to buy next, and what is needed. I'm fairly technical. So I hope I can get through this! So...happy searching I go!!

Well you may want to buy some games

One to start with is Super Mario Galaxy.
Wii Play is also a good starting game as its similar to Wii Sports (the free game that comes with the Wii).

Depending on the # of kids you may also want to buy more controllers.
Wiimotes and Nunchucks!

That should start you off good.

Welcome to WiiChat as well!

Zeldas a goodplace to start

Dont bother with one

There allready is one with the wii (a wired one)
The only accessorys you need are the wiimote recharge station, more wiimotes, classic controller and more nunchks

Hey welcome to the forum. For accessories and games, I would purchase some of the following items:

- Wii Nun-Chuck (The Wii only comes with two controllers and 1 nun-chuck if I'm correct)
- Wii Points Card (to purchase Virtual Console games)
- Wii Classic Controller (to play VC games)
- Super Mario Galaxy (very popular game)
- Wario Ware Smooth Moves (various random mini games)
- The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (another popular game)
- Mario Party 8 (Good party game)

What about the chill system. Is that needed?

Nope
Just stick to the stuff we metioned
Every thing else is a waste of money
